Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and music producer. Her mother was her primary caregiver in the USA in a place where she endured numerous racial slurs that caused her to feel as someone who was not wanted. As she entered the 9th grade she felt more comfortable after she was applauded by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. The singer not only gained confidence from the experience, but she also changed plans for her career. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail, were her biggest breakthroughs. The role in The Lady of The Lake was her most memorable success, and earned her an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her role. Following that, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. Known as a singer she also released a single and an extended version of her play. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
