Ina Garten has been known as a well-known American cook book author for a number of years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa, which started in 2002. Ina started her career with nuclear energy policy and budgets of the White House. Although she initially found the position interesting and stimulating but she quickly became bored. Barefoot Contessa was then purchased. It was a huge success for 18 years, until she decided to sell it. After that, she started her first cookbook. Other cookbooks followed, as did magazine columns. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too was launched and quickly became a huge success. Her products range from cooking equipment, to food items and storage containers. Ina has never attended any cooking school and has not worked in restaurants. She is self-taught. Her name is known for her unpretentious approach to entertainment and simple food preparation. Her most famous recipes are Skillet-Roasted lemon chicken, Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts & Lemon Bars.
